Selecting contrasting materials and colours, Milne Reddell have created a striking interior environment that reflects the architect's design brief of a 'Contemporary Barn' for this Arrowtown lifestyle property. Oak timber walls, ceilings, doors and floors have been integrated seamlessly to create a sense of warmth throughout the home. The kitchen finishes add depth and contrast to the natural oak interior by carefully integrating stainless steel alongside beautiful dark stained oak custom-designed interior joinery.



This project required us to work alongside the project manager, to ensure that the conceptual design was achieved to a high standard. Along with specifying all interior finishes, we designed the kitchen and laundry joinery, lighting design and selections, window treatments and door hardware. With this home orientated towards the view, it required consideration in its material use to keep it anchored within the landscape, while allowing the interior design to have enduring appeal.
